kind regards, David – Instructor, author of this informed waffle, and purveyor of fine Tai Chi.
Tai Chi:  Tai Chi has been practised for centuries as a rejuvenating exercise for the whole body and mind. It helps restore and maintain physical and mental health by replenishing the natural energy of the body (known as ‘chi’ or ‘qi’ in the trade) whilst gently helping to keep it toned and flexible. It is also excellent for relaxation and stress management. It is practised by people of all ages.
These classes focus on the health and exercise aspect of Tai Chi, not the self-defense/martial art which can also be called Tai Chi or Tai Chi Chuan. The classes generally have a friendly, relaxed atmosphere (provided we avoid discussion of most of the news recently).
Qigong or Chi Kung: these type of exercises also form part of the classes, these have many similar health benefits to Tai Chi
